Problem Note 61268: Jobs continually display a status of "In Progress" in the Run Status directive of SAS® Data Loader for Hadoop when profiling a Hadoop table
You might encounter a problem in which a job reported in the Run Status directive of SAS Data Loader for Hadoop always displays a status of In Progress. The job seems to not complete even though the processes do complete in the Hadoop cluster. The issue can occur under the following conditions:
- You are executing the Profile Data directive to manage your Hadoop data.
- You choose to profile a large number of columns in a Hadoop table.
The issue has been observed when you profile a table containing more than 100 columns but it can also occur with fewer columns. The issue is the result of a lack of resources in the Hadoop cluster. It is caused when resources are not released after all queries to the Hadoop cluster complete execution.
