In SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, you can enable the option Use the most current data when referenced by a link for a campaign that contains a Link node.
When this option is enabled, it does not update the counts in the Link (target campaign) node campaign, even when you execute the campaign multiple times in the same SAS Customer Intelligence Studio session and the underlying data has changed. You need to close and reopen the target campaign to get the most recent counts.
This behavior is designed to increase performance if results from the most current data are not critical during campaign design.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
To change the default behavior so that the counts are always updated in the target campaign, you need to add the following two Java arguments to the wrapper.conf file (Microsoft Windows operating environments) or the setenv.sh file (UNIX and Linux operating environments):
Note: The argument wrapper.java.additional.XX=-Dcom.sas.ci.alwaysrunlinknode.cis.latest=true is only available after you apply the hot fix that is found on the Hot Fix tab. Use of this argument is optional and it might have a negative impact on performance.
These arguments give you the option to force the source campaign to re-execute all nodes without re-opening the target campaign.
Note: In the wrapper.java.additional.XX property, XX specifies the next number in the sequence that already exists in the file. Modify XX to be the next number in that sequence.
Add the two arguments to the JAVA_OPTS= property, as shown below:
After you add the arguments to the appropriate file for your operating system, restart the middle tier in order for the settings to take effect.
