Problem Note 61020: Optimization results might be incorrect when using Default Pack Settings with delivery overrides and bulk sizes in SAS® Pack Optimization
In SAS Pack Optimization, optimization results might be incorrect when using Default Pack Settings with delivery overrides and bulk sizes. The issue is likely to occur when the following conditions are true:
- You use the Product Default Pack Settings with bulk pack size settings on a Purchase Order plan with multiple deliveries.
- You override the default setting in a delivery with Pack Settings as defined in this delivery and specify a different value for the bulk pack size.
When this issue occurs, optimization ignores the value that was overridden and instead uses the Product Default Pack Settings.
The workaround for this issue is to refrain mixing and over-riding values when using Product Default Pack Settings and Pack settings as defined in this delivery. Instead, define the Purchase Order plan properties with the specific desired values for Pack settings as defined on this buy and Pack Settings as defined in this delivery.
