Problem Note 61922: Variable Importance comment about the Gini index in "The HPFOREST Procedure" chapter is incorrect
Documentation for SAS® Enterprise Miner™ high-performance procedures contains a comment about the Gini index in the chapter "The HPFOREST Procedure". The comment is displayed in the Loss Reduction subsection of the Measuring Variable Importance section.
"When the target is binary, variable importance based on the margin equals twice that of the variable importance based on the Gini index."
The comment is incorrect, and should be ignored.
