Problem Note 60862: PROC EXPAND returns a Segmentation Violation error when run in some European language locales

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

If you run PROC EXPAND with the French, German, Italian, Polish, or Spanish language environment, and the FROM= option is specified, SAS® might return the following error:

ERROR:  An exception has been encountered

Segmentation Violation in task [EXPAND]

This error occurs when gaps are included in the DATA= data set based on the values of the time ID variable and the interval specified in the FROM= option. The procedure should return the following warning message and continue processing:

WARNING: x observations have been omitted before observation number n in data set WORK.<DATA> according to the FROM=<interval> specification and the ID variable values.
