Problem Note 60384: Executing the %brm_rule_flow macro gives an "ERROR: Literal contains unmatched quote ... macro BRM_RULE_FLOW will stop executing" message
In SAS® Business Rules Manager, the following error might be displayed when executing the %brm_rule_flow macro in a SAS session:
ERROR: Literal contains unmatched quote.
ERROR: The macro BRM_RULE_FLOW will stop executing.
The problem occurs if you are using the Canadian (en_CA) or United Kingdom (en_UK) locale settings, due to how date/time values are interpreted in these locales. Both the en_CA and en_UK locales add the term "o'clock" in the date/time variables. As a result, the single quotation mark (') is included in the logic processing and is interpreted as missing a matching quotation mark.
To work around the problem, set the locale setting to en_US.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After applying the hot fix, you can use the Canadian and United Kingdom locales as expected.
