Problem Note 60275: SAS® Enterprise Guide® might perform slowly when opening an information map that has millions of rows
In SAS Enterprise Guide, opening an information map that has millions of rows might take hours, depending on the exact number of rows returned from the query. This problem occurs when the query is processed remotely on the pooled workspace server. For example, remote processing occurs if the information map includes a stored process, or if the user who is logged in to SAS Enterprise Guide does not have permission to read the underlying table. For more information about remote processing, see SAS Note 42419.
This problem is more obvious if you have upgraded to SAS® 9.4 from a previous release where this problem did not exist.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue. However, if possible, SAS recommends upgrading to at least SAS 9.4_M5, where this issue does not occur.
Note: If you continue to experience this performance problem after installing the hot fix, contact SAS® Technical Support for assistance.
