Problem Note 60070: Extraneous Java errors might be written to the SASStudio.log file when you log on to SAS® Studio

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

A SASStudio.log file exists when you log on to both SAS® Studio Basic edition (3.x releases) and SAS® Studio 4.4 (for SAS® Viya® 3.4).

A SASStudioMidTier3.x.log file exists for SAS® Studio Mid-tier (Enterprise Edition) (3.x releases).

The following errors, regarding .images and .batch_images, are written to the respective log files for SAS Studio Basic and SAS Studio Mid-tier:

com.sas.iom.SASIOMDefs.GenericError: Physical file does not exist,
/home/<userid>/.images.
                at
com.sas.iom.SASIOMDefs.GenericErrorHelper.read(GenericErrorHelper.java:NN)
                at
com.sas.iom.SASIOMDefs.GenericErrorHelper.extract(GenericErrorHelper.java:NN)
                at
com.sas.iom.SAS._portable_stub_IFileService.ListFiles(_portable_stub_IFileServic
e.java:NN)
                at
com.sas.ep.sascoder.rest.representations.RestSession.cleanupPastSessions(RestSes
sion.java:NNN)

Physical file does not exist, /home/user-id/.batch_images.

In SAS Studio 4.4, the SASStudio.log file contains the following error text:

ERROR com.sas.ep.sascoder.service.submission.SubmissionProviderIntegrated (SubmissionProviderIntegrated.java:NNNN) - Unable to cleanup batch assets.
com.sas.iom.SASIOMDefs.GenericError: Physical file does not exist, /home/func_app_stp_monitor/.sasstudiocas/.batch_images.

All of the error messages that are shown here can be ignored. There is no functional impact to SAS Studio processing.

A hot fix is available for SAS Studio 4.4, which eliminates the extraneous error messages. Click on the Hot Fix tab to access the fix that is appropriate for your installation's operating system.
