In SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, custom details (of type Hyperlink) that are used in campaigns, communications, or treatments do not work for shared folders. This problem happens when you perform steps similar to the following:

1. Create a shared folder (for example, C:\Temp) and copy a file (for example, a TXT or JPG file) to that folder.
2. Create a campaign, communication, or treatment definition with a custom detail of type Hyperlink.

You can use any link format, as shown in these examples.

• file://///Sas/Temp/Hello.txt
• \\Sas\Temp\Hello.txt
• http://Sas/Temp/Hello.txt
• file://///Sas/Temp/Hello.txt
• \\Sas\Temp\Hello.txt
• http://Sas/Temp/Hello.txt

Regardless of which format you use, you receive the following message:

In addition, these hyperlink formats do work in your Internet browser. Only external links are working in SAS Customer Intelligence Studio.
