Problem Note 59493: Numeric missing values in campaign and communication custom details are changed to character values in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio
In SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, numeric missing values in campaign and communication custom details are changed to character fields when the details are exported.
This problem happens when you perform steps similar to the following:
- Create a selection-campaign definition and a communication definition with a numeric custom detail that is populated by a dynamic list.
- Ensure that the dynamic list contains some missing (.) numeric values.
- Create a campaign using the definition that you created previously.
- Select the missing values in the custom detail.
- Export both custom details to a file such as a SAS data set. When you export the custom details, you will see that the numeric fields are converted to character values (in this case Dot) for the missing values.
Only missing values for the campaign and communication custom details are converted to character values. When you export nonmissing values for the custom details, the numeric format type is maintained.
