In SAS Federation Server 4.2, querying a table or view that has columns of CLOB data type might return an error similar to the following:
ERROR: Unexpected error occurred while processing getDataFromServer. Error message:
[org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: An exception was thrown while waiting for a reply from the peer. vmcid: 0x0 minor
code: 0 completed: No] SQLState: [HY000] Error code: [0]
This issue happens only with a non-ODBC driver. So, you can workaround this problem by using an ODBC driver.

In SAS Federation Server Manager 4.2, data from a large table can be returned using View Data, but throws "An exception was thrown while waiting for a reply from the peer" when running an SQL query.
