Problem Note 59043: Changes to the delimiter in an export definition in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio do not persist
In SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, when you change the delimiter in an export definition, that change does not persist. This problem happens when you perform steps similar to the following:
- You create a new export definition and change the delimiter (for example, you change the value of the Delimiter field to Comma), as shown below:
- You save and close the export definition. If you then re-open the definition, you will see that the value for Delimiter has changed back to Tab.
This problem also happens if you select Space as the delimiter or if you enter a comma (,) manually in the field. The only time the problem does not occur is if you manually enter a semicolon (;) as the delimiter.
The problem is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) issue only. That is, even though the delimiter in SAS Customer Intelligence Studio changes back to
Tab, the exported physical file shows the delimiter that you selected or entered.
