Problem Note 58980: Variables filtered out in a SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager "SAS Process" node definition appear to be deleted
If you edit a SAS Process node definition in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio, you might find that one or more of the defined input or output variables no longer appear in the definition. This problem might occur under the following circumstances:
- On the Input Variables or Output Variables page of the Process node definition, you enter a value in the Search field in order to see a filtered list of the variables.
- You then edit one or more of the variables in the filtered list (for example, you add or change a description).
- With the value still in the Search field, you save and close the definition.
When you reopen the definition, you might see only the filtered list of variables instead of seeing the complete list of variables, as expected.
To avoid this problem, be sure to delete the value in the Search field before saving the definition.
Once this problem occurs, you can work around it, as follows:
- Open the SAS Code page in the definition and click the Edit Code button.
- Without making any changes, click OK. Then click Yes when the warning message appears.
If you then open the Input Variables or Output Variables page, the missing variables do appear.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
Note: The fix for this issue, introduced in Hot Fix U53011, causes a regression for SAS® processes of code type Other whereby you can no longer add or delete input or output variables. This regression is fixed in Hot Fix U53012.
