Problem Note 58364: The NLPCT informat reads some values incorrectly
The NLPCT informat does not read all values correctly. Negative values with more than one digit after the decimal point are problematic. The informat reads all values correctly prior to the third maintenance release of SAS® 9.4 (TS1M3).
The example code below illustrates the problem:
data test_EN;
input a nlpct.;
put a= a=nlpct20.2 a=20.4;
datalines;
9%
-9%
0.9%
-0.9%
0.09%
-0.09%
0.01%
-0.01%
;
run;
The sixth and eighth observations produce incorrect values for variable A. Notice the first values in each row of the SAS® log output shown on the Output tab.
