Problem Note 58608: Importing and exporting to SAS® Package Wizards in SAS® Data Integration Studio causes a logon prompt to appear and the job fails to complete
In SAS Data Integration Studio 4.901, when you use the Import from SAS Package wizard or the Export to SAS Package wizard to move a deployed job object package file (SPK file), you might be prompted to enter your credentials. After you enter your credentials, the following error message is displayed:
Unable to launch Workspace server as defined for the associated SAS Application Server for "SASApp - SAS DATA Step Batch Server". Ensure that the workspace server definition is correct in the Server Management and that the credentials provided are valid.
This warning message appears regardless of whether you provide the proper credentials. Thus, this problem prevents completion of the wizards.
To work around this issue, complete the following steps:
Dsas.internal.promotion.deployedjob.excludesourcecode=true Dsas.promotion.deployedjob.includesourcecode=false
For example, if there are already 14 JavaArg_NN= options defined, these are the lines that you would add:
JavaArgs_15=-Dsas.internal.promotion.deployedjob.excludesourcecode=true JavaArgs_16=-Dsas.promotion.deployedjob.includesourcecode=false
- Open the distudio.ini file in the SASHome\SASDataIntegrationStudio\version directory.
- Add the following additional JavaArg_NN= options on their own lines in the distudio.ini file:
Note: Adding these JavaArg_NN= options disables the inclusion of SAS files, which are not required, in SAS packages for deployed SAS Data Integration Studio jobs. The code in these SAS files are environment specific and must be re-created after metadata promotion.
