Installation Note 57898: Apply SAS® Studio 3.6 functionality to SAS® Studio 3.4 or 3.5
Applying the hot fix on the Hot Fix tab of this note enhances your current SAS® Studio Basic or SAS® Studio Mid-Tier (Enterprise Edition) installation so that it has SAS Studio 3.6 functionality (including any hot fixes for 3.6). You must already be using SAS Studio 3.4 or 3.5, and therefore already running the third maintenance release of SAS® 9.4 (TS1M3).
If you would like to upgrade SAS Studio Single-User Edition to version 3.71, and are running the third maintenance release of SAS® 9.4 (TS1M3) or later, it is accessible from the Downloads page.
After you apply the hot fix in this note, the release number in About SAS Studio will change to 3.6. However, although you now have additional features, your installed release version is not updated. Your installation has not actually been upgraded, but you received all the features of 3.6.
Your installed release version is the 3.x number in one of the following directory paths:
SASHOME/SASStudioMidTier/3.x
or
SASHOME/SASStudioBasic/3.x
To verify that the hot fix is installed correctly and that you have SAS Studio 3.6 functionality, do the following:
- Clear the browser cache for the browser that you use to connect to SAS Studio. Refer to the documentation for the browser that you are using to accomplish this.
Note: In the Google Chrome browser, clear the cache entirely (for example, from "the beginning of time").
- Connect to SAS Studio, and log on.
- Click the question mark icon on the top toolbar and select About SAS Studio.
- Confirm that the release is listed as 3.6.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
