Problem Note 57718: IBM Platform LSF marks a failed ETL job as "Exit" (even though other jobs are running) and generates an error email

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When a job in the SAS® Customer Experience Analytics extract, transform, and load (ETL) flow fails, Platform LSF marks the flow as Exit and sends out an error email. The error is similar to the following:

ERROR: MPRINT(CXA_ORACLE_TBL_APPEND): proc append base=CXAWH.MEDIA_X_SESSION (dbsastype=( DETAIL_SK='CHAR(22)' SESSION_SK='CHAR(22)' SESSION_ATTRIBUTION_SK='CHAR(19)') bulkload=NO ) data=vSTAGE_MEDIA_X_SESSION; MPRINT(CXA_ORACLE_TBL_APPEND): run; NOTE: Appending WORK.VSTAGE_MEDIA_X_SESSION to CXAWH.MEDIA_X_SESSION. NOTE: There were 10 observations read from the data set WORK.VSTAGE_MEDIA_X_SESSION. NOTE: View WORK.VSTAGE_MEDIA_X_SESSION.VIEW used (Total process time): real time 0.10 seconds cpu time 0.00 seconds NOTE: There were 229 observations read from the data set CXAWORK.STAGE_MEDIA_X_SESSION. NOTE: 9 observations added. NOTE: The data set CXAWH.MEDIA_X_SESSION has . observations and 13 variables. ERROR: ERROR: ERROR: ORACLE execute error: ORA-00001: unique constraint (APPCXA.SYS_C004570) violated. With the occurrence of the above ERROR, the error limit of 1 set by the ERRLIMIT= option has been reached. ROLLBACK has been issued(Any Rows processed after the last COMMIT are lost).

At this point, other jobs might still be running in the ETL flow. When you run the ETL Reset job immediately, the job removes all partially loaded data. However, the other running jobs might load data after the ETL Reset job is finished. In order for the ETL Reset job to work properly, all of the original ETL jobs must be finished before you run the ETL Reset job.
