In SAS Customer Intelligence, using different locales might cause decision campaigns to fail validation and execution.

This problem occurs when there are SAS Customer Intelligence Studio users using different country locales. Campaign data items that are created using SAS Customer Intelligence Studio in one locale (for example, German) fail to work when referenced in SAS Customer Intelligence Studio being used in another locale (for example, English).

The scenario where you might see this problem is as follows:

1. In your decision campaign, you have a Start node with an input variable that is of data type Data Grid and an identifier is assigned to the input variable.
2. In a downstream node, you select this identifier.
3. You then complete the rest of the campaign and validate the campaign successfully.

The validation subsequently fails if you do the following:

1. You change the country locale (File ► Preferences).
2. You log off from SAS Customer Intelligence Studio and then log on again.
3. You attempt to validate the campaign again.

When you perform the steps above, the validation then fails with an error similar to the following:
