Problem Note 57599: SAS® Financial Data Entry forms open at the virtual child (VC) level
In a SAS Financial Management data-entry form, options are available that enable you to enter data directly into a parent (roll-up) cell of the data-entry table. On the Data-Entry tab of the Table Properties dialog box, these options are available:
- Allow data to be entered for Parent members other than time
If this option is selected, form users can directly enter values into the cell for a parent member (a roll-up point). The change in the parent's value is added to the VC member for the parent.
- Allocate from Parent members other than Time using predefined weights
This option enables automatic allocation. A value that is entered in a parent cell is automatically distributed among eligible leaf members. The allocation is based on weights that are defined in the Allocation Weights window.
- Allow data to be entered for Time Parent members
If you select options 1 or 2 and open a parent form, the VC member is incorrectly displayed in the data-entry form. The form should open at the parent level, not at the VC level.
