Problem Note 56406: Names are incorrectly assigned to IN_CHAR variables when you import campaigns into SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager
A Process node input variable is reassigned to the wrong event variable
when its campaign is exported from one release of SAS Real-Time Decision Manager and is imported into the SAS Real-Time Decision Manager 6.3 environment. The event variable shows up in every reassignment, either as the original (correct) assignment or as the reassigned (incorrect) value. If it appears with the incorrect variable name, that name will be the same as another variable in the diagram.
You can rename the input variable to the intended variable. However, it might revert to the incorrect name when you save it.
To determine whether this problem exists on your system:
- Create and save a new SAS process with an input variable.
- Create a new campaign with two Process nodes that both use the process that you just created. To create the campaign, select Start ► Process ► Process ► Cell ► Reply. Be sure to use different values for the input variable for each Process node. Then save and close the campaign.
- Update the SAS process by changing the physical name of the process. Be sure to change the SAS code so that it uses the new name, as well. Then save the changes.
- Re-open the campaign.
At this point, if you open the two Process nodes, they should have different input values. However, when you open them, you will see that they have the same values.
