Problem Note 56309: PROC HPCDM processes very slowly or fails to complete or produces incorrect perturbed parameter estimates
The HPCDM procedure might fail to complete under the following conditions:
- The NPERTURBEDSAMPLES=n option is specified in the PROC HPCDM statement where n>0, and
- either the COUNTSTORE= option is specified in the PROC HPCDM statement, or a SEVERITYEST= input data set containing covariance estimates is specified.
If execution of the procedure completes under the conditions stated above, the perturbed parameters are incorrect.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
PROC HPCDM might seem to hang when a perturbation analysis is requested using either a COUNTSTORE= input data set or a SEVERITYEST= input data set that contains covariance parameters. If the procedure completes under these conditions, the perturbed parameter estimates are incorrect.
