Problem Note 55629: Using the Refresh button in SAS® Data Management Studio might corrupt a process job
When you are editing a process job in SAS Data Management Studio, using the Refresh button might result in an inability to open any data job nodes. Also, if the job is saved while it is in this state, the job itself becomes corrupted.
Should you inadvertently use the Refresh button and observe that data job nodes do not open properly, close the Editor window without saving. This action prevents corruption of the job. The window can then be reopened and the data job nodes should open properly.
For SAS Data Management Studio 2.5, a hot fix is available from the SAS Data Management / DataFlux Patch Downloads web page.
For SAS Data Management Studio 2.6, click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
Using the Refresh button might corrupt a process job that is being edited. As a result, data job nodes do not open. If the job is saved again while in this state, the job itself might become corrupted. To work around this issue, close and reopen the Editor window instead of using Refresh.
