Problem Note 54708: Incorrect results might occur when you use the SQL procedure with a DBMS table
In Base SAS® software, incorrect results might occur when you run an SQL procedure query when the following conditions exist:
- You have a query that includes a WHERE clause, and the query references a view.
- That view references a DBMS table that is accessed via a LIBNAME engine, and the view contains a summary function, a GROUP BY clause, and a DISTINCT option.
Workarounds
To work around this issue, do one of the following:
- Change the query such that one of the above conditions is not present.
- Or create an intermediate table rather than a view.
