Problem Note 54708: Incorrect results might occur when you use the SQL procedure with a DBMS table

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In Base SAS® software, incorrect results might occur when you run an SQL procedure query when the following conditions exist:

  • You have a query that includes a WHERE clause, and the query references a view.
  • That view references a DBMS table that is accessed via a LIBNAME engine, and the view contains a summary function, a GROUP BY clause, and a DISTINCT option.

Workarounds

To work around this issue, do one of the following:

  • Change the query such that one of the above conditions is not present.
  • Or create an intermediate table rather than a view.
