Problem Note 54647: Changing the tracing level in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio does not affect the logging level for the SAS® Marketing Optimization middle-tier log

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, you can control the logging level of SAS Customer Intelligence solutions by selecting Setup ► Environment Variables ► Logging ► Tracking level. However, this setting does not control the logging level for the SAS Marketing Optimization middle-tier log.

To work around this issue, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the SASMarketingOptimization-log4j.xml file that resides in the SAS-configuration-directory\Lev1\Web\Common\LogConfig directory.
  2. In the file, search for the string "com.sas.analytics.mo".
  3. Change the tracking level to the level that you want. For example, the following setting enables debugging:
    <logger name="com.sas.analytics.mo" additivity="false">
       <level value="DEBUG"/>
       <appender-ref ref="SAS_FILE"/>
    </logger>

  4. Save the file.
  5. Restart the SAS® middle tier.
