Problem Note 54377: An error occurs when you attempt to use SAS® Customer Intelligence Marketing Integration web services

Attempts to use the SAS Customer Intelligence Marketing Integration web services might fail. When this failure occurs, the following error message appears in the SASMAIntegration6.1.log file:

org.springframework.remoting.RemoteAccessException: Could not deserialize result from HTTP invoker remote service
[http://racaix02008.unx.sas.com:9080/SASWIPClientAccess/remote/AuthenticationService]; nested exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
com.sas.svcs.audit.client.AuditDataConversionException

With the application of this hot fix (SAS® Marketing Automation Hot Fix 78008) or later, a new JAR file is needed. This new JAR file is required in order to use SAS Customer Intelligence Marketing Integration web services with SAS Marketing Operations Management, or other third-party applications. Therefore, after you apply the hot fix, you need to add the attached sas.svcs.audit.client.jar file to the WEB-INF\lib folder in the sas.analytics.crm.webservices.integration.war file, as follows:

  1. Stop the application server in the location where the sas.analytics.crm.webservices.integration.ear file is deployed (for example, web-server-installation--directory\SASServer6\deploy_sas\sas.analytics.crm.webservices.integration.ear

  2. Make a backup copy of the sas.analytics.crm.webservices.integration.ear and the sas.analytics.crm.webservices.integration.war files and save them to another location.

  3. Using WinZip or a similar tool, unzip the original sas.analytics.crm.webservices.integration.ear file.

  4. Similarly, unzip the original sas.analytics.crm.webservices.integration.war file.

  5. Add the sas.svcs.audit.client.zip file, attached here, to the WEB-INF\lib folder of the unzipped sas.analytics.crm.webservices.integration.war file. Then rename sas.svcs.audit.client.zip to sas.svcs.audit.client.jar.

  6. Re-zip the sas.analytics.crm.webservices.integration.war file.

  7. Re-zip the sas.analytics.crm.webservices.integration.ear file.

  8. Re-start your web application server.
