Problem Note 54877: A "BUILD FAILED" error occurs when you remove the configuration of the SAS® Visual Analytics host-name change utility
In Microsoft Windows operating environments, you might encounter the following error when you remove the configuration of the Update Host Name References tool or while using that tool in SAS® Deployment Manager:
BUILD FAILED
D:\Program
Files\SASHome\SASDeploymentManager\9.4\products\cfgwizard__94180__prt__xx__sp0__
1\config\cfgwizard_config.xml:1362: Exiting due to exception: IO error scanning
directory 'some_directory'
To resolve this issue:
- As an administrator, navigate to
your_directory in the Windows Explorer.
- Right-click that directory and select Properties.
- In the properties dialog box, click the Security tab. On this tab, you should see an entry for USERS, which denies any access to that directory. Change that entry such that it gives access.
- Then, click Retry or rerun the Update Host Name References tool.
