Users who are using DataFlux^® Data Management Studio versions prior to 2.6 and who have upgraded to the latest Loqate engine might experience slower performance than with previous Loqate engines. (Note: You might know this product as SAS^® Data Management Studio.)

The software patches are available for download on the "SAS Data Management / DataFlux Patch Downloads" web page.

The patch numbers are as follows:

• 20777 - Data Management Studio
• 20778 - Data Management Server

To work around this issue, improve performance by modifying the loqate.ini file:

1. Open the loqate.ini file in their Loqate data folder. (There should be one in there already.)
2. Add the following line to the bottom of the file: CombinedVerifyMethods=OFF

The option takes effect when the next Loqate job is started. The server does not need to be restarted.

This option should be used only when necessary, because setting CombinedVerifyMethod= to OFF can affect the quality of the output results.
