Problem Note 54456: A sign-on with MP CONNECT can fail in Microsoft Windows operating environments where 8.3 filename support is disabled

In Windows environments where the SAS® System is installed with Windows 8.3 (also known as 8dot3) filename support disabled, an MP CONNECT sign-on might fail. This problem occurs if Windows does not create the short file path at installation time.
When the MP CONNECT code creates the child SAS task, it calls Windows for the short filename, and the call might return a file path that still contains spaces. Quotation marks are not added to the file path that is obtained, leading to a failure to start the child SAS session.
There is no workaround or solution for this problem.
