Problem Note 53765: The load balancer might fail when it tries to reuse a grid-launched, pooled workspace server

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

Pooled workspace servers that are launched from the SAS® grid are not handled effectively in an environment where multiple object spawners are deployed on multiple machines. In such a case, an object spawner can remotely launch a pooled workspace server. When that happens, the load balancer might fail when it tries to reuse that pooled workspace server.

The problem occurs because the load balancer cannot determine which object spawner is managing the SAS pooled workspace server. Therefore, the load balancer cannot obtain the port from the pooled workspace server that is needed to connect to the client. Instead, load balancing starts a new server on the same machine. As a result of this issue, multiple grid jobs can be launched on a single machine.
