Problem Note 53112: Cookies might get new customer IDs incorrectly in SAS® Customer Experience Targeting

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS Customer Experience Targeting, cookies might get new customer IDs incorrectly. When the Extended Customer View (ECV) stores new customers, for which the only identifying information is their cookie, then this information is stored incorrectly. When a customer visits the site a second time, the cookie is not matched to their earlier session. This might result in two separate customers being identified.

To work around this issue, use the option to suppress cookie-only customers, as detailed in the SAS Customer Experience Targeting Administrator's Guide.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
