Problem Note 53896: The Interactive Grouping node Count and Non Event Count values might be incorrect when a Special Codes Data Set is specified
The Interactive Grouping node in SAS® Enterprise Miner™ has a Special Codes Data Set property. The property enables you to specify the name of the data set that is used to map values to the corresponding special missing value.
However, when you use a special codes data set, the Event Count and Non Event Count calculated by the Interactive Grouping node might be incorrect. As a result, the WOE (weight of evidence) values, and subsequent Scorecard node values are also incorrect.
The problem can occur when either of these conditions is met.
- An interval special code variable name is longer than 25 characters.
- A class (nominal, ordinal, binary) special code variable name is longer than 29 characters.
There are no errors or warnings to indicate that the values are incorrect.
To prevent the problem, change your interval-variable names so that they are 25 or fewer characters in length. Change your class-variable names so that they are fewer than 29 or fewer characters in length.
