SAS Web Report Studio might perform slowly when you attempt to export data from a crosstabulation table to Microsoft Excel. This problem is most likely to occur if you select Excel (*.xlsx) as the file type in the Export dialog box. It can occur for both OLAP and relational data sources.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After you apply the hot fix, you can set a new property to control column width in Excel. When the property is set to true
(the default), the width of each column is determined by the width of its heading. This setting can cause the performance issue described in this note. When the property is set to false
, each column shares the same fixed width, regardless of its column heading. To improve performance when exporting, set the property to false
by following these steps:
false
Beginning with release 4.4_M2, this property is available without a hot fix.
