If you use the HPNEURAL procedure, or the HP NEURAL node, in SAS^® Enterprise Miner™, the weights might be incorrect. The problem occurs when these conditions are satisfied.

You run the HPNEURAL procedure and both of these conditions are true:

• you specify LEVEL=NOM in the TARGET statement
• your nominal target variable has only two levels (your target variable is binary)

You run the HP NEURAL node and either of these conditions are true:

• you specify NOMINAL for your target level, and your target has only two levels
• you specify BINARY for the target level

There are no errors or warnings to indicate a problem.

There is no workaround.

Note that even if the problem occurs, the predictions are still correct. The Weights graph colors are affected.
