Unreadable content errors and incorrect data might occur when you open an Excel .xlsx file that was created by the XLSX driver.
The problem occurs when you export more than 675 columns to an Excel worksheet in an Excel workbook. When you open the file in Excel 2013, you see the following message:
When you open the Excel file, data might not be in the correct columns.
The problem occurs because of a bug in the XLSX engine. The bug occurs in the engine itself when you export .xlsx files that contain more than 675 columns.
To circumvent the problem, export your data to a tab-delimited text file if the data contains more than 675 columns. A comma-delimited file works if your data does not contain commas.
