The first time you open an information map in SAS Enterprise Guide there might be a significant delay before the Open Information Map dialog box appears and populates the list of data items. The delay depends on how many data items are in the information map. For example, if the information map contains 20 data items, then the dialog box might appear and populate in 8 seconds. If the information map has hundreds of data items, the dialog box might appear and populate in 30 seconds.
The next time you open any information map using the same server connection, the dialog box appears and populates much more quickly. The actual time still depends on the size of the information map.
There is no workaround for this delay the first time you open an information map.
