In the z/OS operating environment, an 0C4 abend might occur when you use a SAS/ACCESS view descriptor with the SQL procedure to access the DB2 database. The error might look similar to the following:
USER COMPLETION CODE=4083 REASON CODE=00000003 TIME=06.00.59 SEQ=27797 CPU=0000 ASID=00CF PSW AT TIME OF ERROR 078D1400 87962478 ILC 2 INTC 0D NO ACTIVE MODULE FOUND NAME=UNKNOWN DATA AT PSW 07962472 - 00181610 0A0D9500 C39DA774 AR/GR 0: 0000001B/84000000 1: 00000000/84000FF3 2: 00000000/0000A298 3: 00000000/185F2F50 4: 00000000/00116018 5: 00000000/185F4690 6: 00000000/19147600 7: 00000000/185F35FC 8: 00000000/185F4448 9: 00000000/00000003 A: 00000000/00000005 B: 00000000/07962650 C: 00000000/000F3BD8 D: 00000000/185F3550 E: 00000000/87962466 F: 00000000/00000003 END OF SYMPTOM DUMP
The only workaround is to create an SQL view from the SAS/ACCESS view descriptor and use the SQL view in the query.
