Problem Note 51072: The Scorecard node adverse characteristic report values might be incorrect
The Scorecard node in SAS® Enterprise Miner™ enables you to specify Adverse Characteristic Options properties. However, when the Generate Report property is set to Yes, the results might be incorrect. Variables might be incorrectly included or excluded as adverse effects in the exported data.
There are no errors or warnings to indicate a problem.
To determine whether the problem occurred, compare the adverse variable score for each observation to the neutral score, or to the weighted average score. The choice depends on the method that you selected. Follow these steps:
- In the Scorecard, set the Display Value and the Generate Report properties to
Yes. Run the Scorecard node.
- Right-click the Scorecard node, and choose results.
- Select Window ► Scorecard. Note the Neutral Score value
or the Weighted Average value. Close the results.
Select the Exported Data property, and browse the train data. Examine the
ADVERSE_<n> variable values. For each variable that is listed, find the
corresponding SCR_<variable> column. If the value of the corresponding
SCR_<variable> column is not less than the neutral score, or less than
the weighted average score, then the problem occurred. Only variables with
scores that are less than the neutral score, or less than the weighted average
score, should be adverse variables.
The problem also occurred if the following conditions are true:
- blank ADVERSE_<n> columns are displayed
- there are SCR_<variable> columns with values that are below the
neutral or the weighted average score
- those columns are not included in an ADVERSE_<n> column
There is no workaround.
