Problem Note 51501: SAS® VIEWTABLE might hang when trying to close the window using SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Greenplum
When you use SAS/ACCESS Interface to Greenplum, double-clicking a large table in the Explorer window might open the table quickly. But trying to close that window takes an exceptionally long time and SAS does not respond until the window is closed.
If you open very large tables in this manner, you can fix this issue by setting a driver option called CancelOnStatementClose and setting it to 1.
You can set this option in either of two places:
In the odbc.ini file:
[Greenplum]
Driver=/saswork/greenplum_drivers/lax/lib/S0gplm27.so

Or by adding it as a connection option in your SAS code:
libname mygp greenplm dsn=greenplum user=gpuser password=gppass schema=public conopts="CancelOnStatementClose=1";
