Problem Note 50788: A segmentation violation occurs when you are running the MEANS procedure with the Metadata LIBNAME Engine and SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Teradata

The following error might occur when you run PROC MEANS using a META LIBNAME statement with the CONNECTION= SHAREDREAD option.

To circumvent the problem, use the following steps to mark the library as pre-assigned in metadata. This allocates the library at server start-up and uses the native database TERADATA engine.
- Start SAS® Management Console.
- Select Data Library Manager ► Libraries.
- Right-click the library from the Navigation view and select Properties.
- Click the Options tab and then the Advanced Options button.
- Select the Library is pre-assigned check box.
- Click OK to save the changes.
