Problem Note 50771: The error "Product not validated in setinit" occurs when you use Integrated Windows Authentication with SAS® Marketing Optimization 6.1
When using SAS Marketing Optimization 6.1 with Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) for single sign on,
the following error might occur in the SASWIPServices9.3.log and you cannot log on to SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio:
ERROR [xxx] com.sas.svcs.validation.impl.SystemValidationService - Product not validated in setinit: 152
com.sas.util.setinit.ProductSetinitException: Product not validated in setinit: 152
To circumvent this issue, follow the steps listed below:
- When using a web authentication scenario (for example, IWA, WebSeal, SiteMinder, SPNEGO, and so on) you typically define a separate authentication domain for the web authentication user ID than the actual servers, which might remain in DefaultAuth or any other domain.
To implement this web authentication domain, you need to modify the property mktopt.metadata.authenticationDomain.app:
- Log on to SAS® Management Console. Select Configuration Manager ► Marketing Optimization 6.1 and click the Advanced tab.
- Change the value for the property mktopt.metadata.authenticationDomain.app from DefaultAuth to your web authentication domain.
- Because you do not have 'real' operating system credentials, you will need to configure the workspace server to use token authentication. For more information, see "How to Configure SAS Token Authentication."
- After these modifications, restart all middle-tier services, such as your web servers and Remote Services and the object spawner.
When you are creating input data or run the optimization, you still will see the following error in the SASWIPServices9.3.log file:
Caused by: javax.security.auth.login.LoginException: Null password is invalid for
Metadata Server login module.
