Problem Note 50079: A blank Explore window is displayed in SAS® Enterprise Miner™

In SAS® Enterprise Miner™, you can open an Explore window to view information about your data. Two ways to open the Explore window are as follows:

  • Click the Explore button in the toolbar shortcut. A window is displayed with data sets. Right-click the data set of interest and choose Explore.

  • In the Project Panel, right-click the data source of interest and choose Explore.

However, with either method, the Explore window that is displayed might be blank.

The problem occurs if you are using Java Version 7.

You might be able to work around the problem by selecting Window ► Tile in the blank Explorer window.
