Usage Note 50005: When using HTML and CSV results in the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office, values that contain a slash (/) or a hyphen (-) might be interpreted as dates

DetailsAboutRate It

When using the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office with Microsoft Excel, values that contain a slash (/) or a hyphen (-) might be interpreted as dates. This problem occurs if the Results Format is either HTML or CSV.

The Add-In is not performing the conversion. The conversion is being done by Microsoft Excel. For more information about the issue, see Microsoft Knowledge Base article 214233.

To circumvent this issue, select SAS ► Tools ► Options ► Results. In the Format list, select SAS Report. In the Display section, deselect Allow Excel to interpret value type in SAS Report tables option.
