Problem Note 49264: Throttled e-mails fail to be delivered when SMTP server authentication is not used in SAS® Digital Marketing
In SAS Digital Marketing, you can throttle e-mails for domains (for example, yahoo.com) in order to slow down the sending of the e-mails. When the SAS Digital Marketing Throttle Manager is used, those e-mails might fail to be delivered. The failure is caused when the SMTP server that is being used to send out the e-mails does not use authentication.
You might see the following error in the SAS Digital Marketing wrapper.log file:
javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException: No authentication mechansims supported
by both server and client

To work around this problem, enable authentication on the SMTP server.
