Problem Note 49239: Parallel Group By facility produces incorrect results for MIN/MAX of short key variables in SAS® Scalable Performance Data Server®
The SAS®
Scalable Performance Data Server®
Parallel Group By facility might produce incorrect results for MIN/MAX values when
used with numeric key variables defined with a length that is less than the default of 8 bytes.
There are 3 possible circumventions:
- Define numeric key variables with the default length of 8 bytes.
- Disable the Parallel Group By facility.
To disable Parallel Group By, use SQL reset options as described in Chapter 8 of the
SAS®
Scalable Performance Data Server® 4.52 User's Guide.
- Select the Hot Fix tab in this Note to access the hot fix for this issue.
