Problem Note 48508: Reserved words used as variable names in input data cause an incorrect INPUTVAR.XML file for published models and variables with missing values

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS® Model Manager, creating a model using Import from Local Files might create an incorrect INPUTVAR.XML file. The problem occurs when the model input data set contains a variable that is one of the following SAS® reserved words:

  • format
  • label
  • length
  • level
  • name
  • role
  • type

There are no errors or warnings when you import the model. However, when you publish the model, certain required fields are missing for model consumers. There is a missing column for the corresponding input variable names above.

The problem occurs when the reserved words are in lower case. If the words are in mixed or upper case, then the INPUTVAR.XML file is correct.
