Problem Note 48486: Unable to load negative values into a Netezza BIGINT column when using BULKLOAD

The following error message is issued when you attempt to bulk load a negative number into a Netezza BIGINT column:
ERROR: Error terminating Netezza load: Operation canceled: ERROR: External Table : count of bad input rows reached maxerrors limit

To work around the problem, either download the hot fix or do one of the following:

  • Load the negative number into a Netezza NUMERIC column instead of BIGINT.
  • Use INSERTBUFF= and DBCOMMIT= instead of BULKLOAD= when negative BIGINTs are involved.
