As part of maintaining a SAS^® Financial Management environment, a need has been identified to provide the ability to delete facts from a cycle via a SAS API.

The hot fix includes a new SAS^® Data Integration Studio job and transformation to provide the ability to the delete facts from a cycle via a SAS API. After you apply the hot fix, you will need to use SAS Data Integration Studio to import the new job and transformation (see the instructions below).

The job, fm_3000_delete_fact_data, includes the Delete Fact Data transformation. To run the job, specify parameters on the Options tab of the Delete Fact Data transformation. These options are as follows:

• Cycle Name—the name of the SAS Financial Management cycle into which you are loading data
• Table Holding Dimension and Member Codes—the name of a SAS data set that specifies the dimension and member combination for which to delete data. The Precode region on the Precode and Postcode tab contains same code that builds a SAS^® data set with the required layout.  By default, the job uses the SAS data set that is built by the Precode tab.
• Form Data Options—specify do not delete data or delete data that is entered through forms.
• Environment (optional)— can be any environment that is defined in your EnvironmentFactory.xml file. If you leave this field empty, then the environment default is used.

Follow the instructions below to import the job and transformation in SAS Data Integration Studio.

Import the delete_fact_data transformation.

1. Select the Folders tab.
2. Select System ► Applications ► SAS Financial Management ► Common.
3. Right-click Generated Transforms and select Import ► SAS Package.
4. In the Import from SAS Package Wizard click Browse and navigate to the following directory:
   
   installation-drive:\Program Files\SASHOME\SASFinancialManagementDataTier\5.3\SASPackages
   
   
5. Select SASFM_Delete_Fact_Data_DIS_Transformation.spk and click OK.
6. Click Next.
7. On the Select Objects to Import page, click Next.
8. On the Summary page, click Next.
9. Click Finish to close the Import from SAS Package window.

Import the fm_3000_delete_fact_data job.

1. Select Products ► SAS Financial Management.
2. Right-click the 5.3 Jobs folder and select Import ► SAS Package.
3. In the Import from SAS Package Wizard, click Browse and navigate to the following directory:
   
   installation-drive:\Program Files\SASHOME\SASFinancialManagementDataTier\5.3\SASPackages
    
4. Select SASFM_Delete_Fact_Data_DIS_Job.spk and click OK.
5. Click Next.
6. On the Select Objects to Import page, click Next.
7. On the Summary page, click Next.
8. Click Finish to close the Import from SAS Package window.
