Problem Note 46995: SAS® Enterprise GRC might report errors when you are working with Risk Event Types and Control Types in Questionnaire Templates

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

Working with Questionnaire Templates in SAS Enterprise GRC, errors might occur when you try to perform actions related to Risk Event Types or Control Types.

If you try to add a Risk Event Type or Control Type, you might get an error message:

Stack overflow at line: 0

If you try to search the Risk Event Type table or the Control Type table, then your browser might report an "HTTP 500" error message.

If you try to export the Risk Event Type table or the Control Type table to Excel, then your browser might report an "HTTP 404" error message.

After any of these errors occur, the database connection for SAS Enterprise GRC is lost. You are not able to log on to SAS Enterprise GRC. You must restart the application server.

This problem happens when you define thousands of Risk Event Types or thousands of Control Types.

There is no workaround to the problem.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

With the hot fix, two new configuration properties can be added to the configdata.properties file:

  • monitor.custfield.sort.riskEventTypes=false
  • monitor.custfield.sort.controlTypes=false

Setting these configuration properties to false disables sorting for custom fields for Risk Event Types and Control Types. The errors do not occur with these configuration properties set to false.
