Problem Note 46553: Last bucket in a bucket scenario might be dropped
In SAS® OpRisk VaR, when you add a bucket scenario to a project, the last bucket in the scenario might be dropped. For example, if there are scenarios as follows:
- Scenario1 has 5 buckets
- Scenario2 has 6 buckets
- Scenario3 has 7 buckets
- Scenario4 has 7 buckets
A bucket scenario can lose the last bucket in the following situations:
- If you add any of these scenarios to a data store that has no scenarios, the last bucket will be dropped.
- If you add Scenario1 to a data store that already has Scenario2, Scenario3, or Scenario4, then Scenario1 will not lose its last bucket.
- If you add Scenario2, Scenario3, or Scenario4 to a data store that already contains Scenario1, then the newly added scenario will lose its last bucket.
- If you add Scenario2 and Scenario3 to a data store that only has Scenario1, then Scenario2 will not lose its last bucket, but Scenario3 will.
- If you add Scenario2, Scenario3, and Scenario4 to a data store that only has Scenario1, then Scenario2 will not lose its last bucket, but both Scenario3 and Scenario4 will.
