Usage Note 45146: Updating the version of Suspicious Activity Reports in SAS® Enterprise Case Management
If you use SAS Enterprise Case Management to file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) with the United States Department of Treasury Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), then your SARs are not accepted by FinCEN. SARs are not accepted after September 2011 due to a version update made by FinCEN in March 2011.
To update SAS Enterprise Case Management to use the new version of the SAR-DI form, edit the file ecm_sardi_generate_rpt.sas, which is located in the following directory:
<SAS-CONFIG-DIR>/Lev1/Applications/SASCaseManagementServerCfg/2.3/Source/ucmacros
If you do not have the file in that directory, copy it to that directory from here:
<SAS-HOME>/SASFoundation/9.2/casemgmtmva/ucmacros
First make a backup copy of this file and save it in a different location. If you encounter a problem after updating the file, you can restore the backup copy.
Change this line:
put '<td align=center><h2>Suspicious<br>Activity Report</h2><br><h4>(July 2003)</h4></td>';
Here is the replacement line:
put '<td align=center><h2>Suspicious<br>Activity Report</h2><br><h4>(March 2011)</h4></td>';
If you use other SAR forms, make a similar change to the .sas file for those forms.
